Exmouth United Reds 1-0 Axminster Tigers

The Reds were back in league action against a well organised Axminster team.

Both teams made good chances in the first half with the defence coming out on top.

Charlotte, Tilly, Esme and Hettie worked hard to keep Tigers at bay, and when they did get though they found keeper Phoebe in outstanding form in the Reds goal.

In the second half the Reds started to take control of the midfield with captain Winnie, Izzy, Isla, Lucy D, Lara and non stop runner Isobel M.

The break though finally came with good play from the defence to midfield with Winnie playing the ball though to Eliza, who steadied herself and put the ball into the far corner of the net, which capped off another great profomance from the Reds.

Big thanks goes Isla Dixon for reffing and lsla Jones for assisting with the coaching. Big get well soon goes to Emily and Lucy S.

The Reds are back in action in the Devon cup this weekend against Central at Budleigh Salterton Cricket Club ⚽⚽, kick off at 10.00am.

The Reds team enjoyed a trip to watch Exeter City Women FC
